| Not just in humans, but in every animal species. If you (carefully) remove the emotions and the complications that modern humans incorporate with reproductive relationships (force yourself to recognize the animals that we truly are- see diagram on right), you can understand that human reproduction is the same as any other animals' reproduction... it's a means of survival. Not only can we trace the evolution of an animal and find explanations for its reproductive behavior, but research has also helped determined why contrasting genders of every species look and act the way that they do- this includes you! | Evolution of Man (...you get the idea) |
| | Don't let all this reproduction talk make you uneasy ...You're a scientist! So if you're thinking, "Polyga-what?" Start with the Animal Reproduction Basics. This information will set you up for a closer look at specific mating systems. |
| Approximately 5% of animal species are considered socially monogamous, meaning they form pair bonds. Since these species are rare and often show interesting and unique reproductive behaviors, let's take a closer look at a few specific animals: |

I really like how you have it structured and it's tone of setting up your project's thesis. Very logical and flows as we scroll down. Yes, it is a little long, but I think in this case it works because you've broken up your text into sections, used images strategically to set up your discussion, and are essentially telling us a story, which I think most readers will find very intriguing. You leave us with a question as our reward at the bottom of your page...to continue on into your wiki to discover the answer. Well-planned page layout with rectangular photo boxes, 2 column design, appropriate use of color and font size, etc. Your creativity and strong planning and design is obvious from your home page.

I'll start out by saying how interesting of a topic this is for the research project. You have definitely done your research and all of your pages are very bright, colorful, and well thought out. The one thing I might change about your home page is to make it into a couple of different pages. You have a lot of information all at once, and it could get kind of confusing for a person reading your site. Also, I don't know if it's just my computer or what, but when I clicked on a lot of your page links in the upper-right corner, nothing was on the pages? (Mainly "What is Polygamy?" & "The Truth About Humans")
I really like how you added a lot of definitions, links, videos, and polls. You have made this site to be very interactive, which is a great thing! Overall, I think you did a great job on this project! |
